Endoscopy surgery

Endoscopic surgeries are always performed under a total anaesthesia and an internal examination must be performed prior the surgery.

Laparoscopy

In most cases, a laparoscopy will be suggested to you to finding out the causes of infertility. It is an surgical procedure performed for diagnostic purposes: a trocar containing an optical device is inserted transumbilically into the abdominal cavity. The aim is to visualize the inner genitals, test the salphinx patency and discover any other possible causes of infertility.
After laparoscopy, you will be informed about the findings and the most suitable therapeutical procedure. In some cases, a further surgery will be necessary, usually using the laparoscopy technique (the so-called minimum invasive surgery).
In the case of certain findings, further hysteroscopic examinations of the uterus are recommendable.
After the laparoscopic surgery, you will either be included into a further programme of treatment, or you can use embryos frozen earlier for transfer.
